Waterfront Retreat

 Surprise Lodge is a very comfortable 5 bedroom 3 bath year round home located in the south west portion of the adirondak park of New York . It is located about 7 miles north of the town of Old Forge ,The lodge is within  the private waterfront community of Holiday Shores.

After snowmobiling in Old Forge for the past ten years my wife and I have grown very attached to the area . For the past two years we have been looking for a place we could enjoy and call home for the many activities that are available to this area. In August we purchased Suprise Lodge. In September we began to transform the interior to what we felt would be cozy with local flair. After several months of work with family and friends we have the interior the way we want. The bedrooms have all new furniture and  each has its own theme. The living room has three full size sofas and granite coffee tables to match. New window treatments compliment each room. Many personal items make you feel at home. We are avid snowmobilers and realized this area offered  many other activities that we enjoy. Boating and fishing, along with several lakeside resturants, make for an enjoyable day on the lake. Hiking and biking trails are everywhere and well marked. Many other area attractions make this a great place to vacation.
